Among various solar system projects the kids also made geometric sculptures out of marshmallows and toothpicks, learned how to soak people with a water bottle using a secret hole, captured various snails and slugs, and watched a cicada shed its exoskeleton. In the past couple weeks they've taken full advantage of the gorgeous weather with lots of walks, playground visits, picnics and outdoor nature classes.
